It has a long open time to allow for adequate mixing and pouring without use of RIM machinery. The system can still be utilized with RIM equipment, however reactivity times are shortened accordingly. The system is supplied as two reactive components. Component A is a polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate (PMDI), and Component B is a formulated polyol system containing no CFC- or HCFC-blowing additives. The Baydur 683 system is used for applications requiring high compression strength foams,filling cavities and/or producing foam cores for overmolding. As with any product, use of the Baydur 683 system in a given application must be tested (including field testing, etc.) in advance by the user to determine suitability. The TC-300 can be easily mixed by hand in small batches using a rapid, vigorous mixing action or by using a Jiffy Mixer® in a drill to provide a high-shear mix in small to large quantities. For low to high production, these foam systems can also be machine dispensed using BJB's Centerpointe Meter-Mix equipment. Cured parts can be sanded, stapled, painted or stained within a short time after demolding. Also available in 6#, 10#, and 16# densities.
